Award-winning gunite pools!
Award-winning gunite pools!
I started designing pools in January of 1997 for a larger family owned company that was at the time located in Plano. After working in the mall for a large company with striped referee like shirts after high school, I started on a drafting board similar to the one in this image. After about 4 years hand drawing, I learned to design using the Auto CAD 2D program. Now I use CAD to initially design, then trace if requested into a 3d rendering.
In 2008, the economy took a nosedive. I was working for another company in the metroplex at the time and was let go based on how sales were slowing almost to a complete stop. I knew that everyone that already had an older pool needed to maintain the upkeep. I started selling remodels full time from 2008 until now. I got back into designing and selling new pools in 2020. I will continue to do remodels as that is my "bread and butter" . When I sell a new project, it is a great bonus! I refuse to build more pools than 1 person can handle. I've seen a lot of companies try to build too many and get not so great results so I am going to limit the number of projects I will take on at one time so I can make every customer as satisfied with their end result as possible!
Having the experience necessary to personally design a custom shape for each project is key to having a unique, one of a kind backyard that no one else has. If you already have something in mind, great! I'm ready to build anything that the city will allow! You can build it yourself off of my design or choose to allow me to G.C. your entire backyard hardscape. It truly is my passion to design any homeowners backyard dream!
After an initial 2D overhead view auto CAD non color design is finalized, you can choose to have a 3D rendering for a very small percentage of your budget. These custom designs can take quite a bit of time to make it look really nice.
This is one I designed in Mckinney and was a part of the "Parade of Homes". To put a scale to it, those columns are 24" wide and the entire span of that "Rain Fall" feature is 17 feet! Every tile you see on the pattern around the spa and on the back wall were individually placed! This project back then (2005) was approx. 150k... Today, probably near 400k!

How much is a new pool? My new pools start around 75k and average currently about $200k
How much do remodels cost? This can vary but resurfacing with a premium quartz finish starts around 7.5k. pebble finishes starting around 9k. full remodels can get expensive if removing the concrete and starting from scratch but the average full remodel including new decking is about 50k and starts around 35k.
How long does it take to remodel or build new? On average weather permitting, a full remodel can take as little as 3 weeks but in the winter with the weather, it can be as much as 60 days. possibly more. New construction on average takes between 60 days and 90 days with good weather. additional construction such as cabanas and other outdoor living spaces can add time to any project. Very large projects will take longer.
I answer to texts or emails more often than a call. If you do call, please leave a voice message. I don't answer calls that aren't already in my contacts due to the high volume of spam calls. Thank you for understanding!
